Life with four other siblings by Kaitlyn Perrin

I have a big family. I have two sisters and two brothers. That making five of us total. I have a twin, named Kristyna. We are both 14. Then there is the middle child, Karley. She is 9. Then there is the other set of twins, Kristian and Kaden. They’re 5. I never get one second of quietness. Not one. Screaming and crying every day. Usually about how someone got hurt or how someone messed up their toy. Everyday my mom has to yell and tell everyone to be quite. It seems almost impossible to get the house quite. No matter how many times we ask anyone to be quite, they seem to be deaf. There is always someone hitting or kicking one another. It’s annoying but, I can’t say I don’t get stressed and hit my siblings. Being the oldest, well second oldest, (my sister is a minute older.) my mom usually expects me and Kristyna to watch after the little ones. She expects use to be a perfect example, but we aren’t. We try, but it doesn’t usually doesn’t work out the way we want it to.
When we go out to dinner or to the mall, that’s when it gets crazy. Our mom usually tells us to “Please behave.” We have to go somewhere that has chicken nuggets and French fries. That’s all my brother eats. If there is not, my brother, Kaden, throws a fit. Or one of us accidently knocks over a drink. That is why my mom doesn’t like to take us out very often.
It is really expensive to feed all five of us too. We go through 3 gallons of milk a week. We all eat like pigs. There is at least one week of the month that we run out of money and we have to go out and get fast food. My mom isn’t the best cook either. So we don’t really have special foods.
Even though sometimes I wish I had peace, I couldn’t live without them. I feel like it would be lonely to be the only child. My life would be dull. I love them to death. I wouldn’t trade them for anything. Even if I complain a lot, I really shouldn’t. I wouldn’t want a life of silence. To be honest, I’m glad to have loudness in my life.
