Counting down every day, it felt like
middle school flew by like “that”. When I was in middle school, I got perfect
attendance. Not only did I do it in sixth grade, but I did it in seventh and
eighth grade as well. It was one of the biggest achievements in my life!
Beavers are definitely something you
can relate this work ethic to. They work hard, and are determined to build
dams, and shelters. In middle school, I had to be careful when interacting with
other people or things to make sure I would not become sick and miss school.
Just like beavers when they have to gnaw on wood to keep their teeth at a
certain length, I had to take steps to be sure I could achieve my goal.
Here is an example. My oldest brother
got perfect attendance, but not just through middle school. He got perfect
attendance from Kindergarten through high school! He said “It was very
important for me to get this.” Every day I went to school, even when I didn’t
feel good, I became more and more
responsible with myself.” At that moment, I wanted to see what would happen
when I graduate so badly, I almost exploded.
Hard working has always been around.
Without dedication, we wouldn’t have anything. We wouldn’t even be here if it
wasn’t for it. With dedication, getting tasks done makes you feel so good. The
feeling of the perfect attendance certificate at the end of eighth grade felt
like heaven.
Imagine yourself with a well-paying
job. Let’s say you work in an office and maybe even have your very own
secretary because busy people need some assistance most of the time. You can
tell that person anything you want. You could say “Fetch for my coffee!” “Yes sir!” They would say.
Getting perfect attendance meant a
lot to me. When I got home from school on the day of the assembly, my brother
said “I’m proud of you man”. People that are successful today are successful
because they are determined and they want the best for themselves. Dedication
will determine if you receive a minimum wage job or a job that gets you rich.
It can do that much for you and that’s why I’m proud of my perfect attendance.

Your story is very relate-able. I also got perfect attendance last year.
